Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has said the coalition of political parties is already working to ensure that President Bola Tinubu will not be re-elected in 2027.
El-Rufai on Wednesday confirmed the coalition held a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, with everyone in attendance out to ensure that President Tinubu goes back to Lagos come 2027.
“Yesterday at 8 pm, there was a very important meeting of the coalition to ensure that President Tinubu goes back to Lagos,” El-Rufai said in Katsina State.
Reports had earlier emerged that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s presidential standard bearer in 2023, Peter Obi, and El-Rufai have adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the official platform of the opposition coalition.
Meanwhile, El-Rufai said that one of Tinubu’s ministers, Bosun Tijani, who is doing a great job, would be retained in the next administration.
Addressing a gathering at the Arewa TechFest in Katsina, on Wednesday, he said, “Though, we will still keep Bosun Tijani, we will still keep the minister because he is doing a good work.”
