How to curb post-harvest losses — Food Experts
Experts in the food production and agriculture sectors have stressed the need to address the issue of post-harvest losses, in order to encourage farmers to do more.
They pointed out that the menace has assumed a major challenge in farming, which can be addressed if off-takers and processors buy directly from farmers.
These were the submissions of the Chief Executive Officer of So Fresh Nigeria, Mr. Olagoke Balogun; the Executive Director of the firm, Mrs. Abimbola Olagoke and others, during the launch of an outlet in Ibadan, Oyo State.
They revealed that their food outfit has been buying farm produce from farmers, thereby reducing post-harvest losses.
Balogun said the launch of a new outlet is meant to change the healthy food landscape in the city and further promote the benefits of a wholesome lifestyle.
He said: “We are thrilled to introduce So Fresh to Ibadan and contribute to the promotion of healthy living in this vibrant city. Our goal is to provide a wide array of nutritious and delicious options that empower individuals to make positive choices for their well-being.”
Also speaking, the Co-founder and Executive Director of the firm, Olagoke who cut the ribbon to officially declare the outlet open for business, said with the launch, the city’s residents can now indulge in its delectable and healthful range of meals, assuring the dedication and commitment of So Fresh management and staff to deliver exceptional service, while fostering a culture of wellness among its patrons.
