NatnudO Chicken Gets NAFDAC Certification
The poultry value chain of Nigeria’s agricultural sector got a boost recently with the certification of the chicken product of Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery, natnudo chicken, by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC.
At a factory tour by NAFDAC Management, the Director General, Dr. Paul Orhii said the whole production process of the company is in line with international standard and best practices and should be emulated by other players in the industry.
He likened the facilities in the plant to that found only in developed countries and now available locally, thereby making it possible for Nigerians to enjoy high quality locally produced chicken that guarantees to meet consumers protein needs.
Orhii pledged that the agency would work closely with Nigeria Customs Service and other relevant agencies to ensure they record more successes in the quest to completely eradicate the consumption of unwholesome chicken in Nigeria.
Appreciating the NAFDAC team for their commendations, the Group Managing Director of Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Ltd, Dr. Ayoola Oduntan said it was the desire to provide good quality poultry products for Nigerians that led them to invest in building state of art facilities.
He said, “the company has been a front runner in innovation in this industry, introducing
first designer eggs – natnudO Super Eggs in 2010, enriched with Vitamin E and Selenium, recommended for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
“They are also great for all adults that lead an active lifestyle. The nutrients in natnudO super eggs works together to aid improved memory and learning capabilities in children, improved brain, and visual developments in babies and infants, a balanced immune system, good skin, eyes, hair and also slow down the ageing process,” he said.
