THE Kingdom of Light Ministries (KLM) has provided residents in Idimu community with free medical services and other welfare packages.

The presiding pastor, Dr. Samson Makinwa, in a chat with The Guardian, recently, said the kind gesture was made possible through the Kingdom Care Group of the church, which is in charge of welfare.

He stated that the church gives out packaged rice and groundnut oil to the needy during yuletide and Easter seasons, as a show of love for members of the host community.

According to him, the church engages in road repairs, especially those leading to the church, as well as provides pipe-borne water to the community for free.

“We also offer scholarship to the less privileged children in the society. There is also free training for 200 businessmen/women, which cut across ethnic and religious backgrounds in the country, which is called: ‘Samson Makinwa’s Business Class.’

“The class programmes come up every first Saturday of the month and will run throughout 2015. It will provide an opportunity for participants to learn how to raise capital for their businesses through experts from financial and loan institutions such as YouWin, Sure-P, Agricultural Bank and Bank of Industry among others,” he said.
