AAU sets new date for second semester exams
The management of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, has set a new date for the commencement of its second semester examinations for the 2018/2019 academic session.
Initially, the exam was meant to commence in August and end in September but was postponed for extra-curricular activities, which needed the involvement of the students and its management.
Besides, the students’ union government elections were concluded in August, which perhaps, altered the school’s academic calendar.
However, since the commencement of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in 2015, many varsities have tried to stay committed to conducting such exams for its students.
President, AAU Online News, Success Oboh in a chat with The Guardian on the possible causes of the postponement said, “A new ICT director was appointed and there’s a need for some adjustments. More so, students at the different levels will sit for the exams in turns; the 100-level students will begin first, then the 200-level, until we are done”.
