In a bid to promote legal excellence and professional mentorship, Chrisland University has concluded plans to host the second edition of its prestigious Law Dinner, aiming to expose students to the traditions and expectations of the legal profession beyond classroom learning.
The dinner, a flagship tradition of the institution, will bring together law students, academics, legal professionals, and members of the judiciary for an evening of reflection, celebration, and engagement with the ideals of the legal profession.
Under the visionary leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Oyedunni Sola Arulogun, Chrisland University continues to uphold its commitment to holistic education and character development. Speaking on the significance of the event, the Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Kayode Akinsola, described the Law Dinner as “an essential platform to expose students to the traditions and expectations of the legal profession, beyond classroom learning.”
The evening will feature a keynote address by a distinguished legal icon, goodwill messages, a mock trial demonstration by students, and the presentation of awards to outstanding individuals. It also offers an opportunity for students to interact directly with legal practitioners, judges, and academics, thereby enhancing their understanding of the legal environment.
This second edition is expected to surpass the success of the maiden event, reinforcing Chrisland University’s position as a leading institution for legal education in Nigeria.
The event is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to promote legal excellence, professional mentorship, and academic distinction among its law students. It is scheduled for Friday, 13th June, at 4:00 PM at the central marquee of the campus.
