Founder, Ronik Polytechnic, Ejigbo, Lagos, Mr. Chris Alabi, has urged the incoming administration of Bola Tinubu to increase budgetary allocation to education to enable the sector meet current challenges.

Speaking at the institution’s 17th matriculation ceremony, Alabi said education should be top priority of any government, reminding that an illiterate country is a poor country.

He appealed to the matriculating students to be diligent, God-fearing and honest, while canvassing moral revival and re-orientation among youths.

On her part, the rector of the institution, Mrs Juliana Atoye stressed the need for government to discourage incessant strikes by Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) by providing the necessary infrastructure to enhance learning.
Atoye also advised both the Federal and state Governments to encourage fresh graduates to be self-employed.

“My advice to fresh students is that they should have a vision as a bridge to successful future.”

Describing vision as a mental picture held in the mind, she said it is also a bridge that leads one from the present position to a better and preferred future.

“If you have the right vision, you will become a problem solver. Everyone on earth has unique vision and mission to accomplish. Your vision may be different from that of your friends, coursemates, colleagues and family members. When you examine your heart critically, you will feel the driving force of the vision,” he stated.

A total of 250 fresh students took the matriculation oath.
