As part of efforts to support early childhood education, UAC Nigeria Plc has donated books to students of Anglican Girls Seminary Primary School and Cathedral Primary School in Lagos Island.

This kicked off the launch of the brand’s flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, geared towards addressing critical challenges in early childhood education, especially in underserved communities.

The activities began with the launch of the book donation drive, designed to enhance literacy and provide quality educational resources to underprivileged children in the communities where UAC operates.

Over 120 students from both schools benefitted from the book donation, and were equipped with tools needed to learn.

The Chief Operating Officer of the firm, Queenette Durosinmi-Etti, reaffirmed their dedication to advancing early childhood education as a key pillar of their CSR strategy.

She stated, “At UAC, we believe that early childhood education is the cornerstone of sustainable development. This initiative represents our commitment to investing in the future of our children, providing them with the tools they need to reach their full potential. Through initiatives like these, we are helping to build a more equitable and literate society.”

Durosinmi-Etti urged organisations and well-meaning stakeholders to join the company in creating lasting change and fostering positive social impact across local communities in the country.

Community leaders and educators lauded the firm for its efforts, saying the gesture would help in addressing the gap in accessing educational materials.
