To contribute its quota to the provision of quality education to the Nigerian child, Greensprings School, Lagos, has announced its yearly scholarship examination for entry into Year 7 and the post-secondary International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for 2019/2020 sessions.
Director of Education, Helen Brocklesby, who made the announcement in Lagos, said the school would offer scholarships to candidates who perform exceptionally well in the 2019 examination into year 7 and IB Diploma Programme (Sixth form). She said the scholarship entrance examination is scheduled for Saturday December 15, 2018, by 9:00am at all Greensprings examination centres in Port Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos.
Urging parents to adequately prepare their wards for the examination, Brocklesby said the programme will give students the opportunity to build up skills they can draw from for the rest of their lives. She added that the school is consistently redefining education in Africa, as they strongly believe that every child deserves a well-rounded education. “Children require a solid foundation to become global citizens to enable them contribute immensely to their communities,” she stressed.
“In partnership with Thinking School International, Greensprings is authorised as the principal Thinking School in Nigeria, deliberately training 21st century learners in ‘thinking skills’ which is needed for helping students to build up their meta-cognition and growth-mindset capacity to the highest capacity.
Greensprings prides itself in its achievements and the scholarship examination is a way to support excellence by providing scholars a platform to experience well-rounded education.
“Over the last couple of years, the school has shown tremendous
growth in its educational services to students and parents. This year, five of our students were honoured at the British council where they received the Cambridge- outstanding learner awards.
