Kebbi government seeks NUT buy-in in improving education standard

Kebbi State Governor, Senator Atiku Abubakar Bagudu has sought the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) buy-in to the quest by the state government to improve the standard of education in the state, especially primary school education.

Receiving a delegation on a courtesy visit led by the National President of the Union, Mike Olukoye, Bagudu said his administration was determined to lay a solid foundation to uplift the standards in primary school.


He said the ongoing rehabilitation of primary schools, raising welfare and quality of teachers would be sustained.In his response, Olukoye, who said the NUT officials were in the state for their annual National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, commended the governor for improving the standard of education and welfare of teachers, assuring that the union would assist to improve the standard of education.
