Kikisoko shines, scores 371 in UTME

A student of Deeper Life High School (DLHS), Adogbo David Kikisoko, has emerged one of the top scorers in this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with a remarkable aggregate score of 371 out of 400, scoring 77 in English Language, 98 in Mathematics, 98 in Physics, and 98 in Chemistry.

He also joined other top performers in breaking a 12-year-old record in the UTME.

From 2013 to date, no candidate has scored up to 370. In 2020, Maduafokwa Egoagwuagwu Agnes scored 365, while in 2024, Olowu David, Alayande David, and Orukpe Joel scored 367 each to emerge the top three candidates in the UTME.

The young Kikisoko is joined by other exceptional students in the school, which announced on its Facebook page that about 300 of its students nationwide scored 300 and above in the UTME examination.

DLHS proudly displayed the results of the students, tagging them ‘2025 UTME Champions.’

In a statement by the school management, 900 students from 22 DLHS campuses across Nigeria were registered for the examination. Results for 865 students have so far been released, while 35 are still pending.

Of the released results, 300 students scored 300 and above, with Kikisoko from the Abuja campus emerging as the top performer, having scored 370, the highest among all DLHS candidates this year.

An analysis of the performance revealed that 414 students (47.86 per cent) scored between 250 and 299, while 146 students (16.88 per cent) scored between 200 and 249. Only five students scored below 200, with the lowest score being 173, representing just 0.58 per cent of the total candidates.

The school noted that 17 out of the 21 campuses that have received their results met the internal benchmark.

“We are optimistic that the remaining results, when released, will meet and exceed our minimum benchmark of 200,” the statement added.

The management attributed the strong performance to the school’s structured learning environment and dedication to nurturing academic success among students.
