Meadow Hall graduate trainees urged to embrace best practices


Group Managing Director, Meadow Hall School, Mrs. Kehinde Nwani, has urged the 2015 set of Meadow Hall Graduate Teacher Trainee Programme (GTTP) to put to good use, all they have learnt in the course of their three-month training programme.

Speaking during the 2015 graduation ceremony, Nwani said for the third year running, GTTP has continued to enhance professionalism and passion in the teaching profession.

She said the three-month teacher training and development initiative was targeted at young graduates who are passionate about the teaching profession regardless of their first academic discipline.

Noting that participants were exposed to international best practices as it has to do with effective teaching and learning, Nwani informed that they were also provided with opportunities to gain hands-on-experience using the British and Nigerian curricula.

She advised them to see teaching as a noble profession and do their best for the intellectual improvement of the Nigerian child.

Meanwhile, the guest speaker, Dr. Yemi Amusan, had while commending the management of the school for their initiative towards teacher development, urged everyone to treasure the profession owing to its all encompassing role.
