“Discipline is something you must take along with you as you step out of this cocoon into the big world out there. Always remember that high moral values, punctuality, respect, diligence are all aspects of disciplined people.”

With these words, the Cayley College, Lagos has sent to the world its students in Class of 2016 at the graduation and prize-giving ceremony held at the school’s premises at Agidingbi, Ikeja.

In her speech at the well-attended event, the Executive Director of the college, Dr. M. O Iyayi, dwelt extensively on the need for both the graduating students as well as their juniors to be morally upright and focused to be able to realize their life ambition.

“We strive to build a total child – a child equipped not just with knowledge of facts but of values. As you leave Cayley College, you should realize that apart from ensuring your academic achievement, you have been prepared for life. You have been prepared for the realities of the world around you. Also remember that you have been taught to continually strive for a better future because if you do not stand for something, you will fall for anything. Dare to be different and strive for success. Walk down the path of excellence and aim higher to the glory of God.

“You have the seed of greatness in you, so, go forth and use what lies within you, as activated by the training you have acquired in Cayley College, to be the best you can be,” Iyayi said.

The colourful ceremony was attended by parents, guardians, students and other stakeholders. Three of the parents, Engr Seyi Oyesiku (who is the chairman, Parents and Teachers Association), Magistrate Dupe Adebiyi and Mrs. Pat Olatunde lauded the cordial relationship between the parents and the college. They expressed satisfaction with the values and morals being inculcated in the students.
