ULBS celebrates pioneer graduates as VC canvasses partnerships
Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos ( UNILAG), Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, has reassured of his continued commitment to partnerships with stakeholders, donors and friends of the institution for development.
Such partnerships, he said, has recorded many positives, which must be sustained for further advancement of the university.
Ogundipe, who spoke at the maiden graduation, reception and inauguration of the University of Lagos Business School (ULBS) alumni, said the school was part of efforts to internationalise the university.
While congratulating the pioneer graduands on the successful completion of their programme, Ogundipe, who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) in charge of Development Services, Prof. Ayodele Atsenuwa, charged them to see their new qualification as a call and challenge to make a difference.
Executive Director, ULBS, Prof Abraham Osinubi, recalled the admission of the school into the Association of African Business Schools (AABS) in South Africa and the endorsement from the Business Graduates Association (BGA), which he hinged on the vision of excellence, transparency and reputation of all-inclusiveness that the institution is anchored on.
While appreciating stakeholders, especially the 26 pioneer graduates for their commitment and positive disposition, Osinubi said the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, is a wake-up call to be problem solvers and innovative thinkers.
In his remarks, Chairman, Platform Capital, Dr. Akintoye Akindele, stressed the need for the graduands to always seek knowledge, show enthusiasm, set notable standards and always carry themselves with dignity in all they do.
