The screening is expected to hold from April 21 to 23, 2015 at the Board’s Secretariat, Block B, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital. According to a statement signed by ministry’s Press Officer, Sakirudeen Bashiru, the Board’s Executive Secretary, Alhaji Sefiu Rasheed has indicated that the screening would hold in batches within three days, to avail the board opportunity to carry out the screening thoroughly and successfully.
The screening, the statement added is aimed at ascertaining their eligibility to perform the 2015 hajj, noting that it is only meant for candidates who have made initial payments of Six hundred thousand naira (N600, 000.00) hajj fare, saying they are expected to come along with their original payment receipts, as well as their e-passport.
The Executive Secretary however, charged the pilgrims to consult the Board’s Information Unit to ascertain the days they would be attended to, as only 250 pilgrims would be screened on each day of the exercise.
