For alleged unpaid debt of $10 million for services rendered at the Atala Marginal Field (OML 46), Halkin Exploration and Production Limited has been dragged before a High Court of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Eunisell Limited filed the suit marked FCT/HC/CV/5599/N/2024 which was dated December 16, 2024, against Halkin Exploration and Production Limited over an allegation of unpaid service of $10 million.

The plaintiff said that the debt accrued between January 2022 and September 2024.

It alleged that it made several demands for payment, but after repeated failures by the respondent to meet its obligations, the company opted for legal action.

However, at the resumed hearing of the case, the respondent was absent in court and had no legal representation, despite being served with the originating processes.

As a result, the court subsequently adjourned the matter to March 4 and 5, 2025 for commencement of trial.
