NDIC, Fagbohungbe’s chamber relocate offices after fire guts Mamman Kontagora House

Following the fire outbreak that occurred on Wednesday at Mamman Kontagora House, located on 23 Marina Street, Lagos, which houses the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) and other offices, NDIC has temporarily relocated to 15, Marina, Street, Lagos.

According to a press statement issued by the Head Communications and Public Affairs of NDIC, Hadi Birchi, no life was lost in the incident, neither was any sensitive document destroyed in the inferno.

However, that was not the same for a Lagos-based commercial lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Chief Felix Fagbohungbe, whose law chambers located at the fourth floor in the building, was completely razed.

Fagbohunbe, who was perturbed by the enormity of damage to his chambers, told The Guardian that he lost vital documents to the inferno and has relocated to N0 29A, Adeyemi Lawson Street in Lagos Island.
