We ask Lai Mohammed and the APC to get busy campaigning or throw in the towel in the South West as they will be defeated by the common will of the people of the zone to get a better deal for the zone through a restructured Nigeria that the Jonathan presidency promises,” the statement read in part.

THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South West has decried the statement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, which claimed that the PDP is planning to make the presidential election in the zone inconclusive.

Reacting to the statement yesterday, the Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Ondo State, Banji Okunomo, in a statement issued in Akure said the allegation by the APC is condemnable.

“We ask Lai Mohammed and the APC to get busy campaigning or throw in the towel in the South West as they will be defeated by the common will of the people of the zone to get a better deal for the zone through a restructured Nigeria that the Jonathan presidency promises,” the statement read in part.

The PDP further said that it is busy involving the people in the electoral strategy to oust the APC in the South West while Lai Mohammed and the APC is busy demonising Obas, crucifying religious leaders, insulting socio-cultural groups and abusing youth groups bold enough to question their unexplainable physical and material enslavement of the zone.

The PDP thus asked the people of the South West to shut APC up through their votes this Saturday, concluding that the region has had enough rants from the party.
