DSS denies raiding NLC headquarters in Abuja
The Department of State Services (DSS) has denied raiding the headquarters of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
The denial came following reports that the Labour House was raided by the secret police in the early hours of today.
Spokesman of the DSS, Dr. Peter Afunanya, on a platform of security reporters noted that their operatives did not carry out such operations.
He said: “Please kindly note that the Service (DSS) did not carry out any operation at the NLC office in Abuja.”
Heavily armed security personnel had reportedly stormed and raided the headquarters of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Abuja on Thursday, the union has said.
According to the union, the operatives stormed the Labour House, as its headquarters is called, around 8:30 pm.
