Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has confirmed appointment of Dr Kasim Muhammad Kasim as Chairman, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, (SUBEB) alongside three other members of the board.

Kasim is a former lawmaker representing Akwanga South Constituency at the state legislature.

The speaker of the Assembly, Dr Danladi Jatau, announced the confirmationduring plenary on Monday in Lafia.

Jatau tasked the chairman and members of the board to live above board by being transparent, accountable and bring their experiences to bear.

He also urged the appointees to discharge their duties without fear or favour for development to thrive.

“This House has screened and confirmed Dr Kasim Muhammad Kassim, as Chairman and Allahnana Attah, member one, Hajiya Fatima Shuaibu
Ahmed, member two and Jibrin Egwa Nagambo (Ogaji) as member three respectively,” he said

The House also screened and confirmed the appointment of Mustapha Aliyu as Chairman, Nasarawa State Local Government Service Commission, as well as Mr Zachariah Bariki and Umar Namama, members of the commission.

The speaker, thereafter, directed the clerk of the Assembly to communicate the resolution to the governor for further necessary action.
