Ladi Oluwaloni has officially been sworn in as the chairman of the Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
His emergence as chairman followed the death of Bolatito Shobowale, the immediate past chairman of the LCDA.
The governor enjoined every member of the LCDA to cooperate with Oluwaloni and ensure that community development is utmost in their agenda while admonishing Oluwaloni to prioritise the area’s growth in line with the vision of the state government’s agenda on community development across the state.
Sanwo-Olu also expressed his confidence in the new chairman’s ability to drive progress for a better Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.
While expressing his gratitude to the governor and residents of the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, the new chairman, Oluwaloni, also assured that he would do his best to ensure the continuous growth and development of the area.
He praised the efforts that his predecessor, Shobowale, has put into building the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, and he reiterated his commitment to continue from where he stopped for the benefit of the residents of the area.
He said, “I am profoundly grateful for this opportunity to serve and lead Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA. Your Excellency, I assure you that I will uphold the tenets of good governance as outlined in the THEMES+ Agenda of your administration.
“With the support of Mr. Governor and our great party, I will bring development closer to our communities. Just yesterday, I handed over an ambulance to our primary health centre, which had been without one since its establishment.
“In the next two weeks, we will also be inaugurating several roads in the council. These are just some of the things we are committed to delivering,” he said.
