El-Rufai Appoints Deputy Governor To Head Investment Promotion Committee

IN other to promote trade and investment, Kaduna State governor,Malam Nasir El-Rufai, yesterday appointed his deputy, Mr Barnabas Bala,to head the joint investors committee with the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce, which is expected to harmonise the requirements of American investment drives in the state.

El-Rufai announced this when he received a delegation of Nigerian – American Chamber of Commerce and Counsellor for Culture and Public Affairs, United States Embassy at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna, saying that his administration would remove all the bottlenecks that have hindered investments in Kaduna state.

According to the governor,” unemployment has brought insurgency and other crimes in some parts of the country. We will create jobs for our young people. We have a big challenge to attack the high rate of unemployment. We are taking employment of our youths seriously”.

Earlier,President,Nigerian – American Chamber of Commerce,Kaduna State chapter,Sheriff Balogun,said they have confidence that governor El-Rufai would transform Kaduna state to greater level, considering his antecedents as Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister. He stressed that the chamber in partnership with state and America would revamp Kaduna State syringe/injection plant as well as finances the reconstruction of a modern market in Zaria.

Balogun said:”We serve on the Micro Small Medium Enterprises for effective and efficient micro and small enterprises. We sort joint venture financing of a hatchery in Kaduna”.
