Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, has denied applying to replace Herve Renard as Cote d’Ivoire manager, saying he is happy with managing the Nigerian team.

Keshi was reportedly listed by the Ivoirians as one of the coaches that have applied to replace the 2015 AFCON winning Renard, who resigned recently to take a job in his country, France.

Speaking through his manager, Emmanuel Addo, Keshi advised Nigerians to look for positives that would redefine the way forward for the national team, saying that after recently signing a two-year contract, he was determined to make the Super Eagles the best team in Africa.

He described his inclusion in the list of possible candidates by the Ivoirian authorities as an endorsement of the quality of the Nigerian bench. Ado said in the statement made available to The Guardian yesterday: “My client is very happy with his job as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

He has a two-year contract with the Nigeria Football Federation and as a professional he will see out his contract.   “My client feels highly honoured to be short listed by Cote d’Ivoire, a great footballing country. As you all know, he has a very good relationship with Cote d’Ivoire since his playing days.

It is a relationship that he cherishes and would continue to cherish all the days of his life.   “We want to use this opportunity to call on all stakeholders and indeed all Nigerians to deny enemies of peace the chance they are looking for to cause distractions. We don’t need these distractions.”

Stephen Keshi is nothing but a distraction to the Nigerian football development, and the earlier he exits the stage, the better for the national team. NIGERIAN FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD HATES STEPHEN KESHI WITH PASSION, AND HE MUST BE MADE TO UNDERSTAND THAT. The idea that Ivory Coast are soliciting for his service is nothing but a sponsored hoax by Stephen Keshi to make himself look desirable and important. Keshi has nothing to offer, but raw and pure heartache and headache to the Nigerian fans who are united to his removal and disgraceful sacking.

NIGERIAN FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD LOVE KESHI WITH A PASSION. HE HAS EQUALLED THE BEST FROM ANY COACH, INCLUDING FOREIGN ONES. WE EXPECT IMPROVEMENT ON THIS SECOND BUT SHORT TERM.
JEALOUS AND OUTRIGHTLY MISCHIEVOUS HATERS SHOULD LEAVE HIM TO DO HIS JOB.
IF FOUND TO BE TAKING THE JOB FOR GRANTED NFF KNOWS WHAT TO DO.

NFF and FANs sacked Stephen Keshi long time ago after many disastrous outings by the Eagles because of his primitive coaching styles., He was only forced on Nigerians by President Johnathan, and since his reinstatement by the former President, there has been no love-lost between him and the fans. Keshi went around the world boasting how every national association wanted his service, even stating that South-Africa had already offered him the job to coach the Bafana Bafana, until the later rebuffed the false claim by keshi. Keshi only opportunity to getting a steady pay check was at the mercy of President Jonathan, and I wish he will be man enough to let the Super Eagles be
