Different Strokes For Different Pairs on Dating Game Nigeria

You know that thing they say about Yoruba demons? Not the negative? The positive – that Yoruba demons are handsome, dashing, breathtaking sculpted figures. That’s how to describe the trio of Timilehin, Mobolaji and Rex1, who came on Airtel-sponsored Dating Game Nigeria looking for love on Sunday.

The three men featured in the first segment of the dating game show.

And because it’s a game, only one of the men got a chance at a date with the elegant Omobonike. In the end, it was ReX1, a photographer from Ondo State, whose answers to a series of questions asked,  thatOmobonike picked. Hopefully, when they return to the Airtel-sponsored show, they will have a good story to tell about their date.

In the second part of the segment, Scott, a model and actor had to pick among Cynthia, who thinks of herself as a total package, Zino, who is ready to go through thick and thin with a man ambitious enough, and Chinwe, who describes herself as a no-nonsense very loyal person.

However, Scott had little problem picking Cynthia, the total package as his date. Together, they will be visiting La Campagne Tropicana.

Will they return to the show with good stories about their date? Time will tell.

For Rodrigo, an actor and TV presenter, and Meg, who featured on the show last week, their date could have gone better. Rodrigo was not too happy that Meg cut him off during conversations. He felt that was a bit belittling.

“I may be talking about something…and she will cut me off,” Rodrigo tells the hosts Chioma ‘Chigurl’ Omeruah.

But for Meg, Rodrigo’s questions were too probing for a first date.

“The thing is…you are discussing something and he will want to go further and further…and want details. That can be annoying,” Meg explains to Chigurl.

And then there was a little disagreement over her singing for Rodrigo during their date. But she insisted he should have danced first before she sings.

Then disagreement turned out to be more like the chicken and egg situation – which comes first. But then, Rodrigo stood up and gave the audience his best Shaku Shaku moves before Meg launched into a rendition of Third World’s “Now that we found love” and that earned generous assistance from Chigurl.

But Damilola and Bamidele had a better date and that is not because Bamidele has “a nice skin”.

For Damilola, Bamidele came off as the kind of man she has in mind for a relationship. And Bamidele, in turn, was “surprised” about her personality

“It was exactly what I wanted,” Damilola said.

Theirs look like a relationship that could blossom into much more.
