Saturday, 15th February will go down as a day to remember for families of Sawyerr and Sosan as  Mopelola Oluwabusayo and Muyiwa Babayomi tied the knot in a lovely wedding that was a perfect fusion of love, beauty, and culture.

St Anthony Event Center located at Liasu Road, Idimu, Lagos was beautifully decorated for this long-awaited wedding as friends and families graced the occasion elegantly dressed in a sheer display of Yoruba culture at its best.

Their special day started on a heartwarming note with the morning preparations and an emotional first look as the make-up artist engaged in a neck-breaking effort to make the bride, friends, and families look trendy to the day’s task.

Mopelola looked stunning in her elegant dress, while Muyiwa looked dashing in his attire as family introduction got underway in the early hours of the day. The introduction was followed by engagement proper as the two lovebirds glowed in their blue traditional attire.

With friends and family present, they exchanged vows in a ceremony filled with love and joy. After being pronounced husband and wife, they switched things up for a lively reception anchored by David Meshioye aka MC Kabiyesi. The couple proudly held guests spellbound as the bridal train gracefully made its way to the hall. The two lovebirds stunned everyone in their beautiful outfits, effortlessly representing their roots while exuding sheer elegance with every look.

Expectedly, the wedding had the creme de la creme of the society in attendance with former deputy governor of Lagos State, Her Excellency, Sarah Adebisi Sosan leading the long list of dignitaries. Dr Adelaja and his ageless wife turned up at the wedding while 1982 sets, Baptist Boys High School, Abeokuta stood out from the crowd in their designer caps. St Louis Old Students displayed their dress sense while chairman of the day, Dr. Tunde Olujobi’s short speech was spot on.

Looking stunning and radiant as ever in her white lace and peach headgear, former Deputy of Lagos State, Princess Sarah Sosan once again displayed her panache and versatility full of common sense while moderating the cutting of wedding cake.

”Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, so love is still in the air. We will cut the cake spelling LOVE,” she told the guest.

Their wedding was such a blast as BLACK IMAGE MEDIA ensured that every special moment was caught on camera. But it took the selfless effort of friends, families, and especially Otunba Sawyer who showed no signs of fatigue coming from a busy week after marking his birthday. Otunba made his shoulder readily available for all to lean on, and he was always there to ensure everything go as planned.

Otunba Sawyer deserves a pat on the back for providing one of the best live bands in Nigeria today as Abuja-based Olababs Band held everyone spellbound with their near-perfect performance that kept guests nodding their heads in admiration.

As Mopelola and Muyiwa begin their life journey together, it is our prayer that they will live happily ever after.
