Mbonu: I want to touch lives through acting

Annabel Mbonu is a young woman, who is gradually making impact in Nollywood; she has proven her prowess. From her humble beginning, the actress is living her passion, having featured acted in Nollywood movies.

Annabel Mbonu is a young woman, who is gradually making impact in Nollywood; she has proven her prowess. From her humble beginning, the actress is living her passion, having featured in Nollywood movies.

On her love for acting, she said, “it’s something I enjoy doing and I have no regret whatsoever; the make belief industry is filled with great actors. I have acted alongside Nollywood’s finest like Kenneth Okonkwo, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, Uche Jombo and others. I feel honoured to act with these great minds because there is so much to learn. In my acting journey, I’ve learnt a lot and I am still learning.”

For Mbonu, acting is a toll for touching lives.

“I strongly believe that through acting, I can impact on lives by playing positive roles that touch lives. I have been acting professionally for the past eight years. I featured in a new movie Another Woman, written and produced by Silky Gift Productions; it will be released soon and I hope viewers would love it. I’m also acting in another comedy film titled Papa Bomboy and working on other great stuffs, which will be revealed later.”

Listing the likes of Joke Silva, Rita Dominic, Genevieve Nnaji, Nse Ikpe Etim, Uche Jumbo and Kate Henshaw, she said, “of all those mentioned, Joke Silva stand out because she is a wonderful actress and inspires me greatly. I also get inspired by watching didactic movies that will help me learn and improve.”
