Lindsay Lohan, American actress, songwriter, and artiste has dropped her new single titled Back to Me after 15 years break from music as reported by The Daily Mail.

The song was an opportunity for the 33-year-old actress and singer to get introspective, and she opened up about her history of alcohol abuse.

She sings:
I used to blame me when s*** got crazy / I can’t think too much ’bout what they say / And now these Sundays got me feeling like Mondays / I know I drink too much, but it’s okay. My life is full of ripped up pages / I’ve been weak, contagious / But I’m coming back.

During a 2014 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Lindsay admitted to being an ‘addict’ after being questioned, and she called booze ‘a gateway to other things for me,’ adding that she ‘tried cocaine with alcohol.’

Though her drug use was noted in previous years, Lindsay claimed that she took cocaine primarily because it allowed her to drink more.

Earlier on Thursday, Lindsay took to her Instagram to promote the tune while self-isolating at home amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The former Disney actress has two top 20 albums to her name. Her 2004 debut Speak reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 back in 2004, and its followup A Little More Personal (Raw) hit No. 20 the following year.

The song is available on Spotify.
