Nigerian Afrobeat artiste, Dice Ailes, is gaining traction among fans following the release of his latest single, “Towa,” which narrates a university love story.

After a year-long hiatus, Dice Ailes launched the track on streaming platforms on April 30, 2025.

His manager, Ayodele Odunsi (also known as Mr. Gas), revealed that Dice Ailes announced the new song to fans with compelling artwork on X, captioned ‘UI love story’ with an artwork designed to resemble a University of Ibadan student ID card to complement the song’s theme and resonate with target listeners.

Odunsi is optimistic that the single could catalyse a much-needed breakthrough for the artist on the local and global stage.

He noted that since its release, the song has sparked an organic trend on X, with fans and music enthusiasts expressing excitement and sharing the song widely across other social media platforms, praising its nostalgic vibe.

He said “Towa” marks Dice Ailes’ official release for 2025, signalling a fresh chapter in his career characterised by emotional depth and sonic maturity.

“The track features smooth melodies, rhythmic Afrobeat grooves, and heartfelt lyrics, showcasing Dice Ailes’ vulnerability as he pays tribute to a partner who supports him through challenges.”

The song’s impactful lines emphasise loyalty, gratitude, and emotional intimacy, capturing the essence of a deep connection that feels relatable to many.

“More than just a comeback single, ‘Towa’ acts as a reintroduction to Dice Ailes, teasing his evolving sound and the themes of his upcoming project, currently in development,” he said.

With this release, Dice Ailes reaffirms his place in the Nigerian music scene and hints at a more introspective artistic direction in his work.
