Watch: Taylor Swift Is Having Some “ME!” Time With New Single
Taylor Swit is back! The pop princess has released her first single since her last album, “Reputation”.
The new single, which features Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco is titled “ME!” and according to Swift, it is a song about embracing your individuality and really celebrating it and owning it.
The release of the single is coming after weeks of teasing fans. The song which was released at midnight ET was announced on Thursday night in an interview with Robin Roberts in her former hometown of Nashville.
Speaking about the song, Swift told Roberts,
“I think with a pop song we have the ability to get a melody stuck in people’s heads, and I just want it to be one that makes them feel better about themselves.”
The song comes with an accompanying music video directed by Dave Meyers. The clip introduces Swift and Urie as the squabbling parents of two cats. Then, things get colorful. In addition to Swift and Urie, Joel Little is listed as a co-writer in the song’s credits.
