National Dog Day: Watch Dogs Protect Kids Like Their Own

The National Dog Day serves to raise awareness of the thousands of dogs that need to be rescued and encourages appreciation for family dogs and working dogs, such as bomb dogs, service dogs, rescue dogs and law enforcement dogs.

While dogs mostly domestic dogs, have been referred to as “Mans best friend” owing to their millennia-long history of close relations, loyalty, and companionship with humans, this is proof that indeed they are man’s best friend.
