“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.”

From ancient times when men travelled on foot to the use of camels, and then to the use of ships, cars and air, man has always had an innate desire to explore. This is further fuelled by his dreams, desire for serenity and stories of “lands far away”.

It is one of the very few experiences that open up a man to the world of different cultures and simultaneous experiences of warmth, freedom and chills.

Nothing else gives you the opportunity to trek with the gorillas in Rwanda, taste the best wines in Paris, keep in touch with the origin of Ethiopia, get engaged on the mountains in Kenya, visit the pink lake in Senegal, experience the Panjin red beach in China, see Thor’s lake in Oregon, find ancient man-made tools in Nigeria, see ancient theatres in Greece and learn a new language.

It is no wonder that people who take a trip outside their environment want to do so again and again.

A daunting task for first-timers, it is also for the adventurer at heart who seeks to find solace for different reasons including love, nature and treasure. Make the trip back home, and you will begin to see your culture from another view, improve on your tolerance, find a path that reveals more of yourself, and tell stories that will be handed down for generations.

It is one of the few activities that bring pictures and imagination to life.
