Nigerian actor and content creator, Adebowale Adedayo, also known as Mr Macaroni, has criticised the management of Delta State College of Nursing Sciences, Agbor, for querying a student over a TikTok video related to a welcome song for First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.

The issue happened on March 25, 2025, during the First Lady’s visit to Delta State for the Renewed Hope Initiative Health Programme at the Dome Event Centre in Asaba.

During the event, some nursing students reportedly refused to sing a song that referred to Mrs Tinubu as their “mother.”(Na Your Mama Be Dis Oh!) A video capturing the moment went viral, drawing mixed reactions from the public.

After the incident, the school issued a query letter to one of the students, Nurse Osato Edobe, accusing her of sharing an “unofficial response to the song” on her TikTok account. The letter, dated March 27 and signed by the school’s provost, Evbodagbe Rita Ogonne, has since been widely criticised.

Reacting to the situation on Friday through his X (formerly Twitter) account, Mr Macaroni questioned why students were being punished for expressing themselves.
