Co-founder of Agape Christian Ministries, Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, has told African women to stop pretending about their sexual desires and embrace intimacy in marriage with boldness and joy.

She made this statement on Tuesday, April 2, in a video posted on her official Instagram page, where she spoke openly about the need for wives to ditch shame and enjoy sex with their husbands.
According to Adejumo, many women have been wrongly shaped by cultural teachings that say a woman must hide her sexual appetite, especially in African societies.

She said these beliefs are damaging homes and stopping couples from building happy marriages.

In her words, “I like sex. If I don’t, how will I have children? And you are just pretending, you like sex. African culture has told you that a woman should not show that she enjoys sex, otherwise they will call her a prostitute.”

She explained that intimacy between couples must be mutual and exciting, not stiff or one-sided. She also urged women to stop keeping quiet during intercourse and be more expressive with their feelings.
“Tell yourself, sex is good. I want my husband. And when you’re having sex with your husband, don’t pretend and just be like missionary. Talk, moan, sex is good.”
The preacher also warned that bottling up desires and acting cold in the bedroom could create bigger problems in a marriage. She stressed the need to “unlearn” old teachings that label sexually confident women as promiscuous.

“Tickle your husband, touch him when he’s making love to you. When he finishes, tell him he did a good job, ”she added.
