Valentine’s Day is today and I imagine you are all getting ready to go out with your respective lovers.  If you are stuck on what makeup look rock when you go out tonight, let me help you. I have created a beautiful glowy makeup look using Nigerian beauty brands.

This is how to get the look:

Deola Valentine Look (2)

Step 1 – Fill in your eyebrows using either a pencil or brow pomade. I used the Hegai and Esther brow definer in the shade Nubia

Step 2 – Using the House of Tara Eyeshadow quad; use the reddish brown and dark brown shades to define your crease, the sparky brown in your ‘outer V’ and the gold shade on your lid. Blend everything well so that everything looks smooth and nice.

Step 3 – Take your favourite liquid liner (I used the Zaron HD liner) and draw small baby wings. Use mascara to lengthen and define your eyelashes.

Step 4 – Apply your primer to your skin and using your brush or sponge, blend your foundation on your face.

Step 5 – Take your concealer (I used the House of Tara concealer Stick) and highlight under your eyes, forehead, chin and bridge of your nose. You should use a concealer that is two – three shades lighter than your regular skin tone. Blend it in.

Step 6 – Using a yellow setting powder, set your highlight. I used the yellow powder from the Dabota Cosmetics Contour palette.

Step 7 – Take an angled brush and apply and blend a light pink/brownish blush to the apples of your cheeks. I recommend the BM Pro blush in Merlot. I love it!

Step 8 – Now it’s time to highlight. I used the Taos Cosmetics Highlight strobbing palette to highlight my cheekbones, tip of her nose and top of her lips (Cupid’s bow)

Step 9 – Using a powder brush, blend your entire face. It will make sure there are no harsh lines and everything looks nice and smooth.

Step 10 – Apply a nude lipstick to finish the look. Kayge Cosmetics has a great lipstick in the shade ‘Caramel’ that is perfect for this look.

Step 11 – Use a finishing/setting spray to seal in the makeup and you are done!
