Upcoming Northern fashion brand; House of Kaya has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2016 lookbook tagged ‘Arewa Diamond’.

Arewa Diamond is targeted at the Northern woman who wants to stay fly in the ‘modest way’.

The collection made up of fluid and loose fitting pieces are all crafted tastefully for the modern woman who desires to be unique, yet slightly conservative in her styles.

This season’s House of Kaya’s press note, talks about the Kaya woman and her evolution through life, from her innocence as a babe through rebellion of teenage-hood and the final realization of her purpose. This woman, symbolically represents the many other women who are born into the modest ways of the North and their battle with tradition which leads them to a better self-realization.

In the words of the brand’s creative Director; Ibrahim Aminu, he noted “Our Collection mirrors a continuous metamorphosis of the “Kaya Woman”, a part of her totality having adventured through the seemingly clichéd cycle of existence. From her minimal inclined heritage to the heart wrenching moments she has had to battle with self, these pieces are a pure reflection of phases that have built her and redirected her path”.
