“Make More Sacrifices For Buhari To Succeed” – SOKADEF Group
A statement signed by SOKADEF’s Coordinator, Dr. Rikichi Kajang said Southern Kaduna people must assist the government by making more sacrifices. It asked them to show more understanding and cooperation in response to government policies, “because government alone cannot achieve the desired development agenda both at the federal and at the state.”
The group is is collaborating with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), in an effort to empower about 100 Kaduna youth.
“SOKADEF is aware that the times are hard; Nigeria is going through difficult transformation occasioned by economic downturn and security challenges. However, we need to be mindful of the fact that, this is not the first time we are passing through hardships” the group said.
SOKADEF said that the challenges people are facing are temporary, adding, “We have passed through even more difficult situations before. The current hardships will soon pass away. What is required is for us to remain steadfast in our prayers for leaders at all levels for divine wisdom as they govern, and for God to bring succor to the people.”
“In view of the foregoing, we call on the people of Southern Kaduna in particular, to imbibe the virtues of peace, love sacrifice and forgiveness which are key lessons of Easter.”
“We are working with NDE, CSOs and governments through a set of promising and innovative proposals, expanding our offer of knowledge and learning products, and building new partnerships and strengthening existing relationships on Career Exploration and Skills Development. 1000 youth from Kaduna State will soon commenced training in this month of April through our collaboration with NDE,” SOKADEF said in the statement.
“As we celebrate the 2016 Easter season, we would like to thank each of you for supporting our work and helping us shape and advance the development and accountability agenda at the State and the National level.”
