Rita Edochie’s Birthday Prayer Is For Atiku Abubakar To Recover ‘Stolen Mandate’
Veteran Nigerian actress, Rita Edochie is a year older today and while many people in her shoes would be jumping for joy and celebrating a new age, Edochie won’t be celebrating.
According to her, she will be acknowledging her birthday in a little way while sending prayers to Nigeria’s former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar.
Abubakar was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the recently held 2019 presidential elections. He lost the election to the incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari and has since gone to court to challenge the results.
Edochie through her birthday post has made it known she is team Atiku as she prays that he reclaims his ‘stolen mandate’ in court. She is of the opinion that Nigeria deserves a good leader after many years of independence.
In her Instagram post, Edochie further went on to state that Nigerians should be worried about what we are passing through today as the most controversial issue at the moment was the presidential election which generated so much heat.
“TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY but I am not celebrating it😭😭😭😭😭😭😭, JUST MARKING it because NOTHING to CELEBRATE for. I feel that after so many years of independence, NIGERIA deserves better. EVERY RIGHT THINKING NIGERIAN should be WORRIED about what we are PASSING THROUGH today. The last general elections were the worst ever in the history of this country, INEC had enough time and resources to give Nigerians a free and fair elections but what HAPPENED? The most CONTROVERSIAL is the PRESIDENTIAL election which is now generating enough HEAT. THE ONLY BIRTHDAY GIFT I NEED FROM MY NUMEROUS FANS ACROSS THE GLOBE IS PRAYERS SO THAT NOW THAT PRESIDENT BUHARI AND ATIKU ABUBARKA ARE HEADED FOR THE TRIBUNALS, LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD SO THAT THERE WILL BE PEACE AND HARMONY IN THE COUNTRY. Therefore I DEDICATE my BIRTHDAY to my BOSS ATIKU ABUBAKAR for the truth to be told so that he will RECLAIM his MANDATE @aatiku @jdabubakar @inecnigeria#PDP #Tribunal#RightThinkingNigerians”
