Toke Makinwa In Trouble For Misquoting Scripture
Toke Makinwa faced series of backlash when she talked about hairnets, farting, morning kisses and “lazy” men who call via Whatsapp. And we thought it would all end there.
We were wrong.
Toke took to Twitter to share a biblical story and then related it to relationships these days. According to her, Jacob in the Bible worked hard for eight years so he could marry his true love, Rachael. However, he got Leah, her sister. He had to work another eight years to get Rachael. She went on to conclude that winning the love of a partner these days is so easy.
The days of old Jacob worked for Racheal for 8 years, he got Leah and worked another 8 for who he loved. These days it’s so easy

Nigerians, upon seeing this tweet, dragged the media personality. They were not having it.
Some of her followers called her out for misquoting the bible.

Some corrected her, while some just insulted her. They informed her that the true number of years Jacob worked was seven and not eight as she stated.

Some condemned her and called her a liar.
