Wendy Williams Passes Out On Live TV

Wendy Williams gave her fans a real Halloween fright yesterday when she collapsed on stage during her show.

Williams, 53, was having trouble reading the cue cards and seemed to be confused, saying “carest” instead of “contestant”.

A sudden look of fear and shock filled her face as the host, who was dressed as the Statue of Liberty for her Halloween special, staggered back with her hands shaking and breathing laboured and eventually dropped to the floor.

After an extended commercial break, Williams, who was leaning heavily on a clear podium, said:

“That was not a stunt. I overheated in my costume and I passed out. I am a champ, and I am back.”

She then announced the winners of the costume contest although she appeared to be struggling to speak.

Moments later, an ambulance arrived on the scene and a kit and a wheelchair were taken out for the host. Then an Escalade arrived and was ushered into the garage by Williams’ security team, leaving soon after with a smiling Williams being driven off with her husband Kevin Hunter by her side.

Wendy Williams was spotted leaving her TV Studios in NYC at 12:30pm on Tuesday, after a Scary situation. She fainted due to overheating while live on air , doing her Halloween Special. Earlier in the show, Williams had complained about Halloween. She said:

“This is so not my holiday, I am doing this under duress. All kinds of freaks and weirdos walking around. There’s nothing worse than adults in costumes.”

A spokesperson for Williams, Ronn Torrisan, said later on that all was well with the host, and more details would be shared on Wednesday’s episode of her daytime talk show.

He said that Williams ‘is dehydrated and is on her way home for a good day and night of sleep’ and added that she had been examined by medical professionals at her studio, but did not provide any additional details about that beyond saying that she ‘is well’.

Torrisan closed out his statement by noting:

“She has never missed a day of work and is looking forward on November 13th to her 1500th show.”

Some have taken to social media to question if the entire incident was a stunt, though the video seems to dispute that notion.
