Whatsapp’s “Unsend” Feature Didn’t Save Kenyan MP Who Sent Colleagues Sex Tips

Online messaging application WhatsApp recently launched a feature that allows users to recall messages sent by accident, but this feature did not save the Kenyan MP who sent sex tips to his colleagues.

The feature, which is still being rolled out, doesn’t appear to be working for all users just yet.

According to an FAQ page on WhatsApp’s website, for the feature to work, both you and the person you are messaging have to be using the latest version of the app.

It also adds that you have only seven minutes to delete a message after sending it.

Too late for the newly elected Kenyan MP, Anthony Kiai, for whom this news has come too late.

Kiai posted a message in the Kikuyu language with sex tips on his constituency WhatsApp group.

The message explained in detail how to give a woman an “utterly fulfilling intimate time”, Kenya’s Daily Nation newspaper reported.

Some people came to Kiai’s defence, including one who said: “Is sex sin!!??”

The politician, popularly known as Highflyer, appeared to have forwarded the message innocently and asked members of the group to ignore it after he realised his mistake.
