42 ships arrive Lagos ports with petroleum products, food


Melka shipForty-two ships laden with food items, petroleum products and general cargo would arrive at the Lagos ports between Monday and Sept. 29, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said.

This authority stated this in its daily publication, ‘’Shipping Position’’, released to newsmen on Monday in Lagos.

According to the publication, 15 ships would arrive with general cargo, while 10 others would sail in with containers.

It stated that nine ships containing frozen fish, bulk malt, bulk sugar and buckwheat were also expected as well as five other ships containing petroleum products.

The publication noted that the remaining three ships would arrive with vehicles.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 16 other ships, with petrol, kerosene, diesel and bulk gas consignments and few with rice, frozen fish and general cargo, which had arrived at the ports earlier, were waiting to berth.
