The General Overseer (GO) of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Worldwide, Enoch Adeboye, has urged citizens not to stop praying for Nigeria. He gave the charge, yesterday, during the monthly thanksgiving service at the RCCG Headquarters, The Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, where he spoke on “Unlimited God” and also prayed for children, teenagers, singles (males and females), as well as those trusting God for partners.
He said: “God is unlimited in generosity, kindness and gentleness. He cannot be taken for granted because of these exemplary virtues by those who refuse to surrender totally to His authority according to His demand for every man.
“I plead with those who are truly passionate about Nigeria and yearning that the country should be among the comity of nations to continue to pray against fire outbreak and floods in the country.”
Also, the Special Assistant to the General Overseer (Administration), who is also the Pastor in charge of Region One, RCCG, Dele Balogun, said it becomes very necessary for Nigerians to pray for the country because the nation is always contending with two major forces that include spiritual and physical.
He further said that while some of the physical hazards could be attributed to human errors and indiscipline, some happenings are purely spiritual and beyond the victims’ power or understanding, which necessitates everybody to look on to Jesus Christ who controls both the spiritual and the physical.
