The Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Sam Adeyemi, and a technology expert, Victor Afolabi, have encouraged members and the wider community to embrace innovation as a means boosting productivity and drive revenue growth.

Addressing congregants and citizens at the two-day Excellence in Leadership Conference held at the church premises in Oregun Lagos, Adeyemi emphasised the importance of adapting to new technologies and innovative practices in an ever-evolving global economy.

He revealed that Africa, which houses 40 per cent of the world’s mineral resources, is still considered poor because the ability to extract the essential values is missing.

He further urged citizens to be innovative, noting that it is the best way to boost productivity and revenue in the evolving world.

Adeyemi stressed that those who invest in innovation are better positioned to overcome challenges and seize emerging opportunities. His message resonated with many attendees, inspiring them to consider transformative approaches in their businesses and careers.

While speaking on the theme, ‘The Innovative Leader,’ he explained that the world is currently in need of innovative leaders who can help solve various problems and challenges, providing lifelong solutions and contributions.

“Innovation helps us carve a niche, establish our brand and help us have an edge over competitors. There is so much uncertainty and change in our world and a lot of disruption going on. We are having new social, economic, cultural, and political challenges and they all need innovative solutions,” he said.

On his part, Chief Executive Officer of Hazon holding, Victor Afolabi, mentioned that innovative leaders are constantly thinking on how to get to the future, noting that they don’t plan for the future but prepare for it.

He added that innovative leaders are constantly thinking and seeking solutions to challenges around them.
