Aiyedatiwa nominates six Akeredolu’s ex-aides as commissioners, special advisers
No fewer than six former cabinet members, who served under late ex-Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, have been nominated by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as commissioners and special advisers.
The list of six commissioner nominees and three special advisers sent to the state House of Assembly, yesterday, for screening and subsequent confirmation, according to the Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, included Mrs. Omowumi Isaac, Olukayode A. Ajulo, Razaq Obe, Emmanuel Igbasan, Akinwumi Sowore, and Oseni Oyeniyi.
The special adviser nominees are Olugbenga Omole, Mrs. Olamide Falana, and Alabi Johnson.
Among the commissioner nominees, Ajulo was the only one who did not serve in the administration of Akeredolu but got a political appointment under former Governor Olusegun Mimiko.
He has been projected to be the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.
Obe, who was the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, was the cabinet member who raised the alarm that some people had been forging the signature of the late Akeredolu. He has been tipped to take charge of the Ministry of Works.
Also, Obe and Sowore were the two exco members who refused to sign the vote of confidence passed on Akeredolu by the dissolved cabinet.
