American awardee seeks partnership with Nigeria on technology

UNITED States of America-based Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Deji Akinwande, who was recently named by the American government for the highest award for scientists and engineers, has indicated interest to collaborate with Nigeria in the area of technology, research and development.

Akinwande gave this indication in a correspondence with The Guardian at the weekend.
He said specific opportunities had been identified with two institutions in Lagos and Ondo States.

“I am now planning an extended visit to help the projects along, which are focused on commodity technology for health and another on industrial nanomaterials.”
