The Commander of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, has reiterated the brigade’s commitment to fighting human trafficking and other crimes in Taraba State.

General Uwa made the affirmation on Thursday in Jalingo during a courtesy visit by the Commander of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Taraba State Command, Amos Gambo Bako.

The visit, as gathered by our correspondent, is aimed at strengthening collaboration between both agencies in tackling human trafficking within the state.

In his remarks, Bako called for enhanced cooperation between NAPTIP and the Nigerian Army, particularly in intelligence sharing, security operations, and public awareness campaigns.

He also stressed the need for synergy to ensure that human trafficking networks do not thrive in Taraba.

While responding, Brigadier General Uwa commended NAPTIP’s efforts and assured the agency of the brigade’s full support.

He reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to working closely with security agencies to dismantle human trafficking syndicates and other criminal activities.
