THE Speaker of Adamawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Mijinyawa Kabiru, has said that the administration of Alhaji Umar Bindow is on the mission to rescue the state from the claws of under-development and economic oppression by those he described as enemies of development.

The Speaker, who spoke with The Guardian yesterday in Yola, stated that the road projects embarked upon by Bindow’s administration is a confirmation that the present government is concerned with the plight of people in the state.

“The road projects and other infrastructure development has confirmed that Bindow’s government has serious agenda to uplift the people of the state from their present hopeless situation,’” he stated.

He said that the APC-led leadership would not tolerate corruption or any anti-government action from groups or individuals, pointing out that the major concern of the present government is to lay a foundation that will return the country to its lost glory.

On the appointments made by President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, he said it is too early for people to accuse the President of marginalisation of other parts of the country, adding that majority of the appointments made so far are personal aides of the President and security chiefs, which he said, no reasonable leader will appoint strange people to man security positions.

Kabiru, who urged Nigerians to drop the spirit of tribe, region and religion for the development of the country, said what is caging the progress of Nigeria is sectionalism and corruption.
