Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, is to re-contest the Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

The three-term lawmaker, who was addressing his constituents who thronged his Abuja home yesterday asking him to take another shot at the seat, said he was already contemplating stepping aside having represented the constituency for almost 12 years.

Dogara, however, said he was overwhelmed by the solidarity from his people who travelled all the way from Bauchi State to prod him on.

“Some people said they will retire us from politics, but we want to inform them that only God and the electorate can retire us,” he said.
