EFCC arrests 29 suspected internet fraudsters in Ibadan
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday in a early morning raid arrested 29 men suspected to be involved in internet-related fraud.
The suspects were arrested at Akoto Estate, Elebu area in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The anti-graft agency said its men had conducted a series of surveillance, gathered intelligence on the activities of the suspected ‘Yahoo Boys’.
Among the items recovered from the suspects were eight exotic cars, expensive phones and laptops, as well as documents suspected to be used for their illicit dealings.
The agency said the 26 arrested will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
