Ekitit chief denies involvement in pastor’s abduction

A traditional leader of Ijesa Isu Ekiti, Chief Wale Onipetekun has denied being the mastermind behind the abduction of one Pastor Olalekan Oso.

According to him, Oso and his family’s predicament could be related to his refusal “to do as the custom and tradition demands by surrendering his wife and sons for sacrificial cleansing.”

Oso was abducted at Owode Ogun State Nigeria on Friday the 19th February 2021, by unknown gunmen.

According to Pastor Oso, his abductors said they acted on instructions from a chief without his name who held him captive for about five days.

Oso’s daughter Abigail was also abducted by unknown persons sometime in August 2020 and was recently released on Sunday the 14th of February 2021 after Police intervention.

Onipetekun insists that he has no hand in the predicament of Oso’s family and warned anyone linking him to the abduction of Oso to desist from such claims.
